Ascension School is a ministry of Ascension Parish. The primary goal of the school is to help form children so they will be educated in their Religion, involved in the liturgical life of their community and willing to continue the work of Jesus by ministering to those in need.

The school serves families with children from age 3 to Grade 8. Current enrollment is 470 students. Ascension School emphasizes the Arts, and students have classes in Music, Visual Arts and Foreign Language.

Ascension has a strong curriculum and students experience academic success scoring above the national norms in all areas on standardized tests. Students have Physical Education and Computer classes every week.

Students in Grades 1 - 5 also visit the School Library on a weekly basis.

Extracurricular programs include Athletics, Student Council, Band, Choirs and Orchestra. The school encourages students to participate in academic competitions and contests. Ascension provides a well organized Extended Day Program providing excellent care for children throughout the day as well as before and after school.

Ascension students are well supported by their principal and the many enthusiastic, dedicated teachers, support personnel and parents.
