Terry Thiese (Chair) and her husband Paul have been members of Ascension parish for over ten years.  They currently have four children attending Ascension.  Terry has a business degree from Indiana University and works for Accenture in their Technology Research & Development Group.  Terry has volunteered in various capacities at Ascension and is looking forward to the opportunity to serve in a new role on the School Board.

Patti Farlee and her husband, Jim, have 2 daughters enrolled in Ascension School.  Patti has volunteered at Ascension serving as a room parent, helping with the auction, and as a member of the grandparents’ day committee.  As an Educational Consultant for Delta Education and a classroom teacher, Patti has been involved in education for over 20 years.

. Craig Shannon and his wife Beth have been members of the Ascension parish for over ten years.  They currently have two children at Ascension and one who has graduated. Craig has a business degree from the University of Illinois and works in Sales. Craig has coached at Ascension and looks forward to serving on the board.

Jason Allington and his wife, Jennifer, live in South Oak Park and have been members of Ascension parish since 2000.   They have two sons currently enrolled at Ascension and one daughter who will begin attending in Fall 2008.  Jason graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in English, Communication and Film.  Since 1994 he has been in advertising sales, currently working for Crain's Chicago Business.

Dan Rodde has been a member of Ascension Parish for three years. His daughter Kaitlin is in the 6th grade. Dan has an MA in Classical Languages from the University of Chicago and has been teaching Latin and Theology at Fenwick High School for 8 years. Before that he taught Latin, English and Theology at Mount Carmel High School. Dan looks forward to serving on the school Board and helping further the mission of a good Catholic Elementary school.

Patrick Hess has three children attending Ascension. Pat has an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, as well as a law degree from the University of Illinois. He is a partner in a litigation firm. In addition to working with the Big Brother program for ten years, Pat has been involved with the Ascension Religious Education program, serving as a catechist and also as a member of the Religious Education Board.

Jill Pollard has two boys at Ascension. Jill has an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Illinois, an MBA in international business from Loyola and she currently works as a Quality Analyst for CCH, Incorporated, a topical law publisher. Jill has been an active volunteer at the school for the past six years, serving on Home and School and as the co-chair of the auction for the past two years. She is also a room parent and the volunteer coordinator for shopping certificate sales.

Wendy Schmiedeler has one child currently in school at Ascension, one who will attend next year, and another still at home. Wendy has degrees from the University of Notre Dame and the University of Portland. She has been teaching in Catholic middle and high schools since 1994 - for the past nine years as a member of the English Department at St. Ignatius College Prep. She has volunteered for different school events and she and her
husband assist with the Baptismal Preparation program at the parish.
