Congratulations! Damian Richardson and Matthew Hoover have won positions in the IMEA (Illinois Music Educators Association) District 1 Festival Orchestra for the 2nd year in a row. The all-day festival takes place on Saturday, November 5 at Riverside-Brookfield High School. More than 1000 students auditioned for spots in the junior high orchestra, band or chorus. Congratulations to Damian and Matt! We are proud to have them representing Ascension School. |

The Great Pumpkin Patch!
Last May, Mrs. Cantafio and Mrs. Walsh gave seed packets to the PK-4 students. Look who scored pumpkin seeds! The seeds were planted right away and by August the better part of the yard had turned into a pumpkin patch. In the end, this Ascension family was rewarded with four of the most perfect pumpkins ever! |

Cross Country Champs!
Congratulations to our sixth grade girls who brought home the Suburban Parochial League Class 1A championship trophy last Saturday. The squad narrowly outdistanced the field on the windy course in Lombard.

Student Council Installation Fr. McNally blessed the candles to be given to the 2011-2012 Student Council officers and representatives. The ceremony took place after our school liturgy for the Feast of the Triumph of the Cross on Wednesday, September 14. Officers include Damian, Siobhan, Ireland, Will and John. Congratulations! |
