Physical Education

The intended course curriculum includes
Fall: Baseball, Soccer, Football
Winter: Basketball, Volleyball
Spring: Run-A-Thon/Games Unit, Baseball

The students make up coed teams, and they enjoy playing together and opposing each other.They learn teamwork, good sportsmanship and the value of a game played well.

Obstacle Course Slide Show

Physical Education students challenged themselves during an obstacle course work-out. Students completed an army-crawl, jumped hurdles, and tried a crab-walk among other engaging obstacles. The students thoroughly enjoyed this activity as they were able to demonstrate their strengths. After the initial course in completed, the students are able to create their own obstacle course, and demonstrate it for the class. The students can choose to add other obstacles as well.

Gym Clothing

Our gym uniform shirt is a solid white T-shirt, a white Ascension Run-A-Thon T-shirt or purchased white Ascension gym wear shirt. The bottoms are dark colored gym shorts, purchased Ascension navy gym shorts or navy sweat pants.
Please write your name on all gym clothing.

The grading criteria for P.E. are follows:

  • Participation
  • Effort
  • Cooperation/Teamwork
  • Athletic Ability
