Ascension will welcome some very special guests for Grandparents' Day on Friday, May 4, 2012. 
Grandmas and grandpas are our favorite company
and we have some very special plans for the day.

Schedule 2011:

We will begin with Open House at 8:30, followed by a reception in the Pine Room at 9:30 and Mass at 10:30.

Children will be dismissed for lunch from church; if they have the written permission of their parents, they may go out to lunch with their guests. 

All students will have an extended lunch and will return to their classrooms at 1:00 pm.

Everyone agrees that the mass on Grandparents' Day was prayerful and glorious! The Ascension Strings played under the direction of Mrs. Coffman, and Mr. Anderson prepared a marvelous cantor. Students participated in the opening and offertory processions, and served as lectors, servers and gift-bearers. Fr. McNally led us in prayer, and students blessed their grandparents, and the grandparents blessed them in return!

Classrooms were open to our guests after mass, and roving photographers captured the smiles and hugs. A lovely reception with music by the 8th grade string trio and fabulous refreshments took place in the Pine Room at 11:00. Kudos to the Ascension Ambassadors and 8th graders for guiding and helping in many ways all morning long.
