The Ascension Cookie Bake

Grades four and five apply their math skills in the Pine Room in early Advent for our annual Cookie Bake.  The children compute the ingredients necessary to make large batches of cookies and then measure and mix them.  Thanks to the multi-generational volunteer force that help with this project!  All cookies are donated to the Ascension Women's Club cookie walk.

Cookie Bake

Everyone’s favorite math lesson!  Ascension fourth and fifth graders spent their math class baking cookies today.  They focus on measuring, multiplying and mixing – and the AWC Cookie Walk on Saturday will have dozens of delicious cookies as a result.

Happy volunteers, happy 4th grade cookie bakers, happy cookie shoppers at the Holiday Cookie Walk!  Thanks, Mrs. Seavey for choosing recipes and for leading us again.  You are the world’s best organizer!  (No photos of Mrs. Seavey – she spend the whole day in front of the gym oven!)
