If your class is due to “re-une,”
contact the Development Office
at 708-434-1558 to get the ball rolling!
We cannot plan a reunion for you, but we can reserve the Pine Room, help you with catering decisions, provide tour guides, take pictures, send you class lists, mail "save the date" postcards, and help publicize your event.
Are you missing? If you are not receiving mailings from Ascension School, you may be a lost lamb! Send us your addresses (email and snail mail) and stay current with all that is happening at your alma mater. In addition to being included in reunion activities, you'll receive the Ascension School News three times a year, hear about special alumni activities and be invited to participate in our annual appeal to the alumni!
These Classes have had Reunions.
Take a look at the
Class of 1946 Reunion

The Ascension Class of 1946 gathered for their 60th reunion in 2006. Before their dinner at Philanders, several members of the class visited Ascension for a tour. Some had not been back to school in 60 years -- a few changes! Classmate Bob Rigali, though, is spending much time in Oak Park these days: his firm, Daprato Rigali Studio, is painting the interior of the church.
Alumni in the Classroom

John Tourtelot '61 and Jeff Kroger '60 visited Ascension and spoke to the class of 2007 as part of the "Alumni in the Classroom" program. John and Jeff came to speak about the Vietnam War, the topic the 8th grade is covering in Language Arts this spring. John served in Vietnam; Jeff's brother Neil '56, was killed in action in 1965. Students pondered the artifacts Jeff brought with him, including the telegram that informed his parents of Neil's death and the flag that draped his coffin. |

Recent Alumni: Always Welcome

A group of our favorites from the Class of 2007 stopped in
to visit after school.
Former Students Visit

Sharon McNulty ('73) Moriarity and her children visited from Ireland this week. The Moriaritys moved four years ago but they stay in touch with their Ascension family and friends through our web site. It was great to see them!
Alumni in the Classroom

Caleb Fields ('00) visited seventh and eighth grade classrooms in January 2008 to talk to students about his experiences in high school and college. Caleb was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He spoke to the students about pursuing their dreams -- but having a back-up plan, too!
